Yes, lyrics are included but they're aggregated (not broken down by character).

I pre-ordered this bad boy. This is what will raise the show's box office numbers.

All of the songs (in full) are available to listen to (you get 25 free plays) on Rhapsody. You don't have to sign up for anything, just download Rhapsody's music player.
I'm making my way through right now. I think some of the songs are a lot more muted and less rock sounding that I originally expected.

Hey YANKEEFAN when did the recording come out? I thought it was not in stores until 12/12/06?
Did you buy it at the Theatre?

I did buy it at the theater. It's in stores on the 12th, though Colony (and probably Virgin) has it now.

Virgin does not have it. They got Jacques Brel in a week late, so I'm prepared for a delay.

Oh...odd. They usually have these Broadway CDs out a week or so in advance.

So YankeeFan, since you love the cast recording, will you be seeing the show a second time?

The only time I have ever seen a Broadway CD get put out early was for ASSASSINS.
And actually, they put JACQUES BREL out 1 week before it was set to come out, though it wasn't on sale. I went to get it the next night, and they were gone. Then for the real release date, they didn't put them back out. A week later they finally put them back out, and 4 days after that got marked down to $14.99.
You think I'm in Virgin too much?

Is the Jacque Brel easy to find? I might ask for that and Spring Awakening and Grey Gardens for Christmas.

It is quite amazing. I listened to it earlier today and loved it. A couple of the arrangements I wasn't completely thrilled with, but overall it is beautiful. It would be great to see them do a number like "Left Behind" or "Bitch of Living" on The View.

I don't know if they can do " The Bitch of Living" on daytime.

I'm not sure what they can do on daytime, but on all the Soap Operas the term "bitch" is tossed around all the time.

I don't watch soaps. Then they can perform that!

On the back of the CD, the songs are listed as
The B***** of Living
Totally F******.
Based on that alone, those 2 songs are out for any TV performance. The latter was denied a performance at Broadway on Broadway, by the way.
