If there was going to be a movie version of the Sunset Boulevard musical I think the cast might be like this:

Norma Desmond- Meryl Streep

Joe Gillis- Chris Pine

Max von Mayerling- J.K. Simmons

Betty Schaefer- Emma Watson

Cecil B. DeMille- Alan Arkin

Yes, because Alice Ripley saying she's 22 on screen will be totally believable (unless you meant Judy Kuhn who originated the L.A. production, which will be even more ridiculous). Either way they are both far more appropriate for Norma now than they are for Betty.
