Hey guys, this afternoon I'm going to NYC to shadow stage management at A Chorus Line. I've been to NY multiple times before but I never really walked around the city and experienced the different stores. I was just wondering if you guys would recommend any theatre related or Broadway related stores? I was also wondering if you would recommend your favorite places to eat AT a decent price. Although I'm seeing the show from backstage free, I'm not made of money! Thanks alot and I'll be sure to post how the show is holding up! I really appreciate it!

I forget the name of the store, but there is one right in Shubert Alley next to the Shubert theater. It's tiny, but it has some pretty cool stuff in it.
It's called Broadway New York or something like that. It is just a gift shop with general Broadway merchandise from shows(like hats, shirts, etc.).
By the way, the one I mentioned is on the corner along the Marquis. There is one in Shubert Alley as well that is smaller. I prefer the one near the Marquis.
Broadway New York is my favorite store - located across from Phantom. It has a whole back room full of plays along with normal merchandise. The Drama Bookshop on 40th street Broadway and 8th (I think?) is a neat place.
Junior's, right next to Spamalot, is one of my favorite reasonably priced placed to eat. Nothing fancy, but good hamburgers, strawberry shortcake cheesecake, and egg creams.
^I thought that one was called Theater Circle. The one on 45th, right next to Gypsy? Well whatever it's called, I'd recommend that too.
And Juniors too!

I really like Vynl. It's on 9th Avenue right after taking a left on going west on 51st. Make sure to use all of their four(?) restrooms...

My 2 favorite cheap places to eat are Ray's Pizza on 8th. (It has kind of become a little tradition of mine that I have a slice there before my 1st show on vacation.) And Ziggiz on 25th and 3rd.

The Edison Cafe, on 200 block of W47th, "40 seconds (or so) from Broadway", chock full of theatre history. Go for the blintzes.
Oh, and the Marquis is a big place, so to save you time, Broadway New York is next to the Marquis stage door at 211 W45th.
