Thrilled to see him back onstage after MJ, even if this feels like it's been kicking around for a decade now. Hope they got it right this time. Anyone going? Thinking about making the trip.
This role is definitely a hard pivot from MJ, so I appreciate the boldness in his choice of role for his stage return. These golden age musicals tend to require strong male dancers, and so if he’s anything like his MJ contemporary Aramie Payton was in After Midnight (Papermill), he should be fine.
I know the City Center production (which I presume this is a further modification of) was a critical bust, so I hope that time was spent well in improving those issues.

Definitely going to the Arena Stage - can't beat the Rodgers & Hart songbook and the choreo will be fantastic. Myles is a superb choice to lead. I'm looking forward to this coming to Broadway more than just about anything else.
This was pretty bad at Encores. One of our least favorite in the last 10 years along with The Life, Wonderful Town etc.
Myles will be better than Sykes who, surprisingly, fell very flat. I sure hope they have tried to work on this and get Ms.Devine to return. But the production and book needed a lot of work.

Yeah, I assumed that this iteration would never see the light of day again. Hopefully, a lot of improvements have been made.

I assume you mean Wonderful Town (I know Encores did On the Town over 10 years ago but I remember it being well received.)

Encores did On the Town closer to 20 years ago, in 2008. The last Broadway revival was in 2014.

This is absolutely gunning for Broadway around the same time as the likes of Damn Yankees and others
With Jeffrey Richards office heading this, curious to see what lessons and tactics from MHE make their way to their next musical endeavor
Yes. You are right, meant Wonderful Town.
