NBC will release Smash "BOMBSHELL" soundtrack/cast recording

I use the term "soundtrack" semi-loosely; the artwork says OCR! LOL.

Announced at NBC TCA Tour. It will be released February 12th, 2013. No details if songs were re-recorded to keep in context with the "show-within-a-show" or are the recordings from the first season (including guest star Uma Thurman).

Pre-ordering will start on Tuesday, 1/8/13

The producers said in an interview that the songs are from both seasons. I'm actually excited for this!

So excited. I wanted this but without all the crap pop covers, so perfect! I just hope the "Wolf" version is Katherine McPhee - hers really is so much better than Hilty's (the only one available now on Amazon).

It will probably be Megan Hilty's version since it was already commercially released. Katherine's wasn't. I wonder if they'd re-record "Dig Deep" without Uma Thurman, because that's the only BOMBSHELL song she recorded and she's no longer in SMASH as far as we've heard.

There will be new BOMBSHELL songs performed this coming season.

I'm excited for this CD! I know I'll like it much better than the currently released CD.

I get the "Let Me Be Your Star" extended version will include the shadow figures and the "Your mother was crazy…" sorta lines.
