Sh*t.
I know the flyers and rumors suggested a January exit, but I was hoping it would survive until Kids Night. Really wanted my daughter to see it.
Might be paying a final visit during my early january NYC visit.
This show had such a fantastic and unexpected run. I just bought my ticket for the final performance.
Knew this was coming unfortunately. Just bought rear mezz tickets for the final performance. I'm selling tickets that I have for Jan 2, 2011 left orchestra row n seats 1 and 3 if anyone is interested, please PM me!
And I finally got round to a New York trip in the new year - this was number one on my list of shows to see. I was praying it would stay open.
Congrats to all involved, 'Next to Normal' achieved so much in the run it had.
Here's to a great run, and for all those involved. I bought my tickets for the final performance nearly a month ago! I can't wait! It's going to be such an amazing night!
Amazing, Amazing show. Great Run. I'll definitely be there on the 16th. Goodbye NEXT TO NORMAL. RIP.

We all saw it coming. However, it had an amazing run! 733 performances is terrific!
I think that with the amount of fans that there may be a surge. Does anyone think they will extend?

It's ok, it's closing because Andrew Lloyd Webber is working on a prequel called "Normal: Gabe Never Dies."
Not terribly surprising. Sad to see it go, but I'm grateful for the four visits I've been able to make to the Booth and everyone involved with the production should be very proud of beating all the odds. I'll miss this show.

What a great run it had! This is a show that will always stick with me.
what no one has asked if it's moving back off-broadway or if Alice will be returing for the final perfs? I'm being sarcastic.

This is disappointing news, but I cannot say I'm surprised.
It's not surprising, but I'm not going to lie, my heart sank when I read this news. This show means so much to me and I don't want to say goodbye. But I've seen it four times and my fifth will be next Thursday and I will be seeing the final performance.
Brava on an absolutely FANTASTIC run!

I'm waiting for someone to post about how it's closing because Alice Ripley left.
But in all seriousness, congrats on a great run!
Great show. Great run.
My best to all involved.
