Nice homage to the original Be Italian.
I hate this...my main comp has no sound, so I can only listen to it through THAT site...can someone upload it there...so I can watch it on my ipod?
Thanks!
I was skeptical before. After seeing those clips, I couldn't be more excited.
Fergie is so good.
Judi Dench is Guido's costume designer.
I've been waiting for a clip of "My Husband Makes Movies" for seemingly ever now...absolutely loved Cotillard's delivery. Can't wait to see the whole thing!
Ok, I actually don't know all that much about the show, but those clips gave me chills. So excited for this.
These clips are fantastic. I cannot wait for this- only a few weeks more!

Cotillard gave me chills
Of course, Luisa's surname in the movie is no longer DelFiorno, its Accati, as I think was the case in the original film 8 1/2
I absolutly loved Penelope's delivery of the "legs open" line.... too funny.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
Who knew Penelope Cruz could be this funny? Her character in VOLVER was sprinkled with humor, and of course her Oscar-winning role in VICKY CHRISTINA BARCELONA was hilarious. From the looks of it, she's quite funny in NINE. What's great about her is that within the same film she can be incredibly funny and then turn around and break your heart. Love her.
"My Husband Makes Movies" looks simply amazing, Marion Cotillard's delivery is heartbreaking and perfect. After listening to this and "Take It All," I believe Cotillard will be one of the acting highlights of the film. What a great casting idea, Rob Marshall.
Fergie, whom I was quite skeptical about, sounds and looks great. And Marshall is certainly paying homage to both the original Tommy Tune number and that scene from the film 8 1/2. Is it Christmas Day yet?
Marion Cotillard may very well turn out to be the (wo)man of the match when NINE is eventually released - dare I say it, in spite of "Take it All".
Again, while I would never want "Take It All" to replace "Be On Your Own" in the stage musical, it absolutely works in the context of the film and devastates in a completely different way. Of all of the women in the film, the focus snaps back onto Cotillard and as good as everyone generally is, I think she is what you remember most.
Of course, Luisa's surname in the movie is no longer DelFiorno, its Accati, as I think was the case in the original film 8 1/2
Guido's surname in 8 1/2 was Anselmi, rather than Contini, so both he and Luisa were called Anselmi.
Cannot WAIT for this! Every clip that's leaked makes me squee a little more.
Who's comparing? I'm just not sure how devastating "Take It All" is in itself. I think a lot of that comes from the dramatic context in which the song plays out, although obviously the lyrics in the second half of the song try to force the point home. I say try, because I don't think it's the greatest marriage of music and lyrics ever - even if we take it from the reverse perspective and look at it ironically - and Marshall's staging just looks more and more derivative of Louise's strip in GYPSY every time I see the clip of the number that we've all seen. But perhaps I'll change my mind when I see the entire film, though with every new leak I feel like it's going to be a triumph of style over content, without even a brilliant transcendence into a state of affairs where the style becomes the content.

I love all of these clips. Marion is exceptional, Nicole and Daniel's lead-in scene looks terrific, and Penelope is sexy and hilarious.
I haven't been disappointed with any footage I've seen yet.
Does anyone else think Cotillard sounds kinda like Helen Reddy in Pete's Dragon at times (the words "dream" and "crazy")?
