In today's/tomorrow's paper...probably online now but I can't seem to find it.
Not a very good piece by Celia McGee, if you ask me, but I'm partial for Jesse Greene and Campbell Robinson.
Doesn't say much of anything...just that Max is significantly more outgoing than Laura (who seems to have been painted as not much of a social butterfly).
Here's the link.

Thanks, Smax.
How am I never able to find this stuff?
The Arts & Leisure link usually goes up late Saturday morning on the NYTimes.com home page, so it is probably not up yet when you look for it. Look on the right hand side of the home page, and there is a section that says "Arts & Leisure" which takes you to the listings for all of the articles in the section.

Yikes, that article was so poorly written it was practically incoherent.

That's what I thought. There were parts I had to read a few times to figure out what she was saying.
Glad I'm not alone.
"He’s not worried that she can’t play Sandy sexy. “I never quite got why it’s supposed to be so good that Sandy changes in the end,” he said."
Share an opinion.
Then counter the opinion with an tangentially related statement about problems the lead actor has with the entire story of the show?
Then never clarify or question this major issue he stated?
What is UP, New York Times?!
these actors dont even understand their bland characters. wow.
How stupid are these two? It's Grease! You don't even get the characters in Grease? A monkey could understand and develop the characters in Grease better than these two could!
It's like if Laura Bell Bundy said in an interview: "I don't understand why Elle ends up with Emmett, and not with Warner."
And then the journalist continued the paragraph by discussing LBB's shoelace color and fave grocery store.
Do they think they sould like intelects by saying this crap? They don't.
It would have helped your point to have spelled 'intellect' correctly.
The article jumped from, where they live, to how they buy their groceries, to who's on the opening night guest list. What was it even supposed to be about?

That was the stupidest thing I have ever seen in the Times!
I couldn't be less interested in this show right now!
I just read the article and I have no idea what the point of it was! That was just plain bad writing.
critics can say this sucks and it will sill do fine-the tourist are gonna eat this up

Well for those who may be interested in reading the article on line. Here is the link

I am not sure what the purpose of the piece was other than to maybe give us a little background on Laura and Max.
hmmmmmm
OMFG - There was no story, no interview, NO NOTHING! Why did you even bother posting this? Don't answer that!
That was just a pointless waste of time. Let's end it right here & tell everybody not to bother reading it (unless they want to fall asleep!)
For God's sake this whole thread should be deleted. Please Craig!
I'm sorry but the whole article is WTF?? Both, actors come across as a dumb when I’m sure they where trying for naïve.
It's the writer who comes off as dumb. That is a truly awful piece of writing.
An absolutely horrendous piece of writing. Ouch.

Can you guys enlighten someone who's never seen the Grease stage show and in fact knows very little about it: is it supposed to be good that Sandy changes at the end?
