Posted: 7/18/06 at 2:45amRocky Horror revival has an intermission written into the script (right after Rocky & Frank's wedding), but I'm not sure if it was performed that way. I've seen productions with and without, and I don't see much of a difference either way.

I saw Home Sweet Homer
Probably did not have one to make sure it had an audience for part 2. Opened & closed same night

Posted: 7/18/06 at 1:52pmCompared to In My Life and Lennon, Home Sweet Homer is a masterpiece.

Posted: 7/18/06 at 2:16pmI did not know that Drowsy Chaperone didn't have an intermission. I know that 1776, Passion, In My Life (ugh), Man of La Mancha, and Brooklyn don't have intermissions and I had a feeling that Spelling Bee didn't have an intermission when I saw the songlist in the Playbill Yearbook.

It's been awhile, but with the revival of Once on this Island coming back, I thought it'd be an interesting board to bring back.
I am currently about to start reading 1776 libretto and I noticed it says, "The action is continuous, without intermission." From my understanding, almost all of the community theatre productions I know have done 1776 with an intermission.
What are some more recent examples?

Amelie.
Also, I was in 1776. The script says an intermission is optional, but the show runs about 3 hours without one.

Come From Away and 13. Well when I saw 13 it didn't have an intermission but I think in previews or before it's Broadway run it had an intermission and they took it out.
