I'm sitting front row in a LincTix seat. Heard what sounded like him whispering from onstage in the middle of act one, shortly thereafter they stopped the show for a bit then resumed with his understudy. Hope he's alright.
Why do you think it's an injury? Perhaps he was getting sick.

Because LincTix seats have sharp edges.

They said it over the PA system. "Due to an injury, Nathan Lane will not be able to finish the performance..."
You could have mentioned that in your post. He probably remembered he left the oven on.
How was the understudy?

Sorry, I should have mentioned it. I thought the understudy was very good, does anyone know if this was his first time going on? I would have loved to have seen the rest of Nathan's performance.
The understudy is Stephen DeRosa.

Yeah. I did think Stephen was very good. I felt bad that half the audience groaned when he was announced.
Not familiar with the show. Just curious, what scene was it, and what was going on that may have caused an injury?
Isn't he basically sitting the whole first scene? How could he have possibly been injured?
Yes, I do know that this was the first time the understudy has been on.

For those who know the show, it was the "Peace and Quiet" hotel burlesque scene. I am really not sure what in the scene would have injured him. My first guess was just that it was something with his back again...I am not sure.
and here i thought Reeve Carney had the most dangerous job on Broadway!

I read somewhere that he was injured while stepping off the moving turntable.

I heard something like that too.
I hope he is OK
Hopefully he'll come onstage tonight in a red track suit.
So, how was he injured again?
He fell off the stage and into the balcony.
Damn that sh!t must've hurt. Wait. Hold up. He fell off the stage and into the balcony? How is that even possible? Did he fall UP as opposed to DOWN? I mean, WTF?!!

Yes. He was walking too close to the front of the stage and fell up into the balcony.
Hey! Maybe Jason Alexander can finish the rest of the run if Lane isn't well enough to continue.
