I would love it if Cheyenne or Neil were to fill in for Carpinello. The understudies do a great job, but I would like it if they just had a temporary replacement.

Or take Matt Morrison out of TEN MILLION MILES and let him do it. Would kill to see that.

They should cut their losses and close in previews...let's face it: Xanadu the musical on Broadway was a horrible idea to begin with.

Well it looks like only you, WithoutATrace, and munk think it's a horrible idea. Most people seem to enjoy it, or at least the 400+ crowd that vists the HH theatre every night.

I didn't talk about critics, just normal people.
It looks like many like it (40+ positive reviews at BB, most of them not "theater-people").
I think reviews will be Mixed to Positive, but who knows, they're still in rehearsals! I think it's unfair to judge a show based on an early rehearsal.

I am actually a fan of Neil Patrick Harris, but I just dont see him as Sonny Malloy. I always have this mental image that Sonny Malloy looks like Cheyenne Jackson or at least ..James Carpinello...dark haired , attractive guy...

But on second thought--- NPH looks more like Michael Beck (the guy in the movie Xanadu ), if he will wear a long hair wig , like in the movie. Though I find Michael Beck kinda unattractive in the movie, ( I am not insinuating that NPH is ugly) but I guess .. if you think it ,,probably NPH is a good choice as Sonny Malloy (patterned after Michael Beck's character in the movie) as a spoof of MB character in the movie...

BTW - Is Michael Beck kinda skinny and flimsy in the XANADU movie too ?

What do you guys think .. is this guy kinda looks like Neil Patrick Harris ? might work, huh?

No, there are more of us that think this is a stupid idea. And I'll bet half of them are the agents of every other young male actor imagining the horror of a client out for months of rehab after breaking an ankle. Or much worse.
