That looks awesome! I'm uber-excited now. I hope it opens in my area in Dec, but I have a feeling I'll have to wait.

Can you imagine AL's Lovett in a Tim Burton film?
Mm...I don't think so.

Wow, cool picture. This film seems to be looking darker and darker by the day.
I'm not a gay stereotype. I'm a coincidence.

I love the picture! Now if only they could release the trailer...

grr... I'm hoping that a theatre near me falls into the "select" category, because there's no way I'm going to be able to sneak away from the family stuff on Christmas day to see it...

That's not from Sweeney Todd and we both know it.

to everyone that keeps saying 'it looks like everything else tim burton has done" - then DON'T GO SEE THE MOVIE!
I'm going, it looks absolutely stunning, and I can't wait.

Well....yeah, it looks good...but we still have no proof Depp can sing the material and do it justice. I guess we'll have to hope they have the equivalent of Mutt Lange in the recording studio.
It opens December 21st in LA and New York (so it'll qualify for Oscar consideration) then the rest of the country on January 11th.

Singing is overrated in movie musicals, anyway.

This is from the beginning of the article posted here on BWW this afternoon:

I love this picture, a lot. It probably doesn't hurt that I have a slight crush on both Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, but really, the look of the movie based on the stills we've seen is gorgeous.

I'm a big Sweeney Todd fan, but I think for the movie they've gone a little overboard with the creepiness. As for Mrs. Lovett...I can't say that's how I pictured her.
I know you.

It looks awesome. As far as comparisons to the look of SLEEPY HOLLOW (which won an Oscar for its Art Direction, BTW), that's a good thing as far as I'm concerned. That almost black-and-white feel punctuated by the deep red of blood was very effective!

All we need now is the trailer.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.
