Loving Depp's look, not so sure if that's the look I would like in Mrs.Lovett but it's too hard to tell from that picture, we'll see when the film comes out.
Great picture though! Thanks.

This was definitely not what I was expecting, but I can't say that I don't like it. I was expecting Lovett to be a little more clean cut, not sure why. And that skunk stripe on Sweeney still doesn't really work for me.

Now we can look forward to 12 other threads "premiering" this picture.
....Which looks pretty cool by the way.

wow wow wow I cannot wait...
Helena Bonham carter still looks a little Bellatrix-y for my taste in a Lovett, but I think the casting for this film is amazing and I love the picture. I'm excited.

I agree with you RENT. It looks like she ran over from the Potter set that day. The picture does look great. Burton definitely has his own vision and is going with it. It is not what I had in mind, but I'm sure it will work.

In my case that would be because Lovett is always immortalized in the form of Angela Lansbury. Helena Bonham Carter (or Bellatrix Lestrange, hah) does not in the slightest resemble that portrayal of Lovett. That is okay though. Tim Burton is taking the picture his own way with his own vision, but when he and Johnny Depp get together, it always works out well.

I like it, specially since burton could have done this his signature Willy Wonka way, and hd everyone's hair perfectly sculpted, all dressed up in bold colors with no straight lines, everything in swirls!
I mean, It rises expectations for me.

I'm really excited about this; I just hope JD can really pull this one off. I'd be pretty disappointed if he couldn't.

Something tells me this movie is going to be dark. I don't like that she looks like Bellatrix.

If anything, I think Depp looks more like Edward Scissorhands.

I guess the device could be that his razors are his "scissorhands."
