Hi,
Where are the rush tickets for next to normal, are they "good" seats in the Booth?
Also, what time do I need to get to the box office to get rush tickets?
Thanks
There are 26 rush tickets. 2 front row house left, 2 front row house right, 10 front row center, and 6 in each box.
And at this point, I think for a weekday the "safe" bet is before 8. Who knows how crazy it will get when all schools are out and depending on what happens at the Tonys.
Thanks guys for your comments.
Anybody know what time to get there in the summer months?
Thanks

I think Jordangirl pretty much answered it. Sounds like you should get there before 8, probably earlier during the summer months.
I stopped by yesterday at 7:45 to check the line to see if it was do-able. Of course, I didn't realize they didn't have a matinee until the first girl in line told me but here's what she told me. Now they have a system where they come out and give you wrist bands with numbers on them, I guess to keep track of the tickets early on? Anyhow - by 7:45 there were like atleast 10-15 people in line. 1-2 each that ranges from 10-15 to 20-26 tickets already.
I tried the rush last Friday. I got there at 7:20. The person in front of me got the last pair of tickets. LAME. Yes, there were about 15 people in front of me, but I seriously didn't think I'd be 16th getting there that early. So beware.

I would highly recommend purchasing the $36.50 tickets for Row H of the mezzanine in advance. The seats are great and you don't have to wake up absurdly early to get them.
Will they continue to do the rush in August?

I don't see why they wouldn't still do rush in august.
I just didn't know if they would change it over to lotto like some shows do.
Unless for some reason it turns ugly (a la what happened with Jersey Boys, though the fact that it's GENERAL rush might make something like that less likely), I don't see them changing it over.
Do they sell the rear orchestra seats for $36.50?
I'm considering rushing this Sunday for the evening performance.
I had no problem arriving at 10 AM and getting a front row center seat earlier this month for a Sunday evening show, but now I'm wondering if I should plan a bit earlier this time around.
How has the Sunday rush been lately, thanks in advance!
From what I've heard, it's been full before they hand out the wristbands or very shortly thereafter. I think you'll be SOL if you don't get there until 10 now.
So what exactly is the deal with the wristbands?
They're pretty much pointless because the wristbands don't guarantee anything. They just make it look like they have a system that works when in actuality it doesn't even matter because they don't check the wristbands.

Every time I've done it since they had the wrist bands, the guy who hands them out has stood outside the door and checked the number on the band as people go in to ensure that people are in the correct order.
I;m seeing the show in August, and I was wondering, how many tickets do they give one person? We have a group of 4 going, would we all have to rush, or just two of us?
I went last saturday got there at 6:40 was fifth in line and by 8:30-9ish the line stretched to the Shubert. They gave out wristbands but didn't check them.
and BBJ, just two of you have to rush

I rushed last Sunday (Memorial Day weekend). Got there at 7a.m. Already 15 people in line. The majority of those people were getting tickets for the evening show, which was the performance I was going to attend. I just barely got in. They gave out the wristbands I think around 9:00a.m. By the way the show was fantastic. I could not take my eyes off of Alice. She and the company are acting their asses off.
since rush sounds impossible...does anyone know if N2N has been up at TKTS lately? I plan on going for Aaron's last...the evening of June 6
