My guess is 5am *might* get you a box for the matinee. 6:30 likely won't get you anything on Saturday.
Maybe a few of us can pull an overnighter? Bring snacks and make a little sleepover out of it.
Bumping this thread up, is anyone going to rush Next to Normal tomorrow??
No one has really answered the question about Sundays. What time would be good to wait in line because they do not sell the rush tickets until 12.

You'll still need to get there early, probably 8 at the very latest.

How busy do you think Rush will be in mid-August? I'd expect it to not be as crazy because there are a lot of schools that I know of that start in the beginning of August. But I dont know.
I'd agree with 8 at the very latest for a Sunday. And be prepared to go with either show.
With the word-of-mouth I'm hearing and reading after the Tonys, I'm fully expecting it to get busier.
As far as August, the schools around here don't go back until after Labor Day, so that's really still summer around here. Expect busy.
What about Wednesday? I know it's only a few days after the Tonys, so I expect it to be crazy, but I want to try and rush it. Any thoughts? I'd prefer the matinee, but I won't care either way.
I tried to get a ticket tonight, and a few came up, but when I went back to actually purchase them, they weren't available. Oh well.

I too, am looking for some insight about how busy/what times you think would be good to show up during the week. I know its summer will probably get busier but I was just wondering for during the week. Is one day better to go than another?
Poop. I didn't realize they didn't do Wednesday matinees. I'm really looking forward to going to a matinee tomm. I just enjoy being out and about during the day. Drat. Oh well.
"I didn't realize they didn't do Wednesday matinees."
They don't? Well, I guess I know what I won't be seeing tomorrow if I can make it into the city.
Starting next week they are dark on Wednesdays entirely

Nope I *believe* they do, or are going to start doing 2 shows on Saturday and Sunday...but I could be wrong
I thought they did a 5 show weekend? 2 on Sunday, 2 on Saturday, 1 on Friday? No?
I was just hoping to get up early and rush it tomm. I figured my chances of getting a ticket would be greater because I'd have two show times to choose from, but oh well.
anyone rushed this week? I'm thinking of going on friday. general thoughts seem to say get there before 8am, so what time has the first person been getting there?? Anyone know?
I have a few questions with rushing since I never did before. I know people have been saying to get there before 8am but if I am going on a Sunday do most people rush for the later showing? I would have to go to the 3pm showing so I wanna make sure that I am there early enough to be able to choose, so do you think it would have to be earlier then 8am for that? This may be a stupid question but if I am going with three people to rush and all three of us have ID's can we all get the tickets together so we can sit next to each other or do the only allow you to go up to the window one by one?

When I've rushed on Sunday, it seems that more people want the matinee than evening, so yes, you would have to get there early to ensure that.

First, since it is not STUDENT rush, you do not present ID, so that makes no difference. Second, I believe the only place where there are six seats together (I'm assuming you each want 2) is in the front row center (there may be 6 together in the boxes, I am unclear on that), so you would definitely have to be in the very front part of the line for that as there are 10 seats in the front row center section.
But yes, you go in and to the window one at a time. The seats I believe are given in a certain order, so as long as the three of you are back to back in the line, there should not be a problem unless of course one of the sections was almost full. Then you might have to be separated if there were not six seats in the section. (Or three or whatever.)
My friend and I are coming into the city the 25-27th and we were going to rush next to normal on Friday the 16th. I know people say to get there before 6:30, so would it be a safe bet to get there between 5:30 and 6? If we can't get tickets to this we plan on rushing something else, but we REALLY would like to rush this. Thanks!
Thanks for the response! We actually only need the three tickets but I thought it was student rush so you could only get 2 per ID. So as long as we are in back of each other online it shouldn't be a problem. Im not going till next Sunday but I'm hoping that the rush doesn't get any more crazier since its still a little early in the summer.
It is general rush and you can get 2 per person.
I would assume 5:30 would be safe for getting tickets, but I can't be positive.
