ok
Can I ask why it is not recommended for children under 13? Is it subject matter or nudity?
My sister has seen RENT like 12 times so if it's subject matter I think she'll be fine. However if its nudity that's a different story.
There is no nudity. Jeez...the things you think of.
It's the subject matter. And it's so different from Rent (get over that show already) it's not even funny. But think of it as like a PG-13 movie. Some kids under 13 can handle them, others cannot.

No nudity at all. Language and subject matter would be the reason for the age restrictions. Nothing like Rent.

OMG, like, what are you guys talking about, this show is TOTALLY just like Rent. Duh, i mean, everyone knows its the long lost sequel to Rent.
I got there at 10:45 (BO opens at noon) and was 15th or 16th in line. I got row BB seat 1 for the matinee.
I was underwhelmed with the show.

Has anyone rushed on a Sunday yet? I've never rushed a show yet before and am really paranoid about not getting a ticket. I'll probably be going some time within the next month or so. Your help is GREATLY appreciated!

Sorry, but I really need to bump. I want to try this weekend badly, or else I can't go for another 3 weeks.
If you looked at my post (one above you) it says what time I got there on a Sunday.
How is the view from the front row and from the boxes?

My apologies. It looks like we may be going this Sunday.. I'm pretty excited!
I had right bow seat last Saturday and I enjoyed it. I was in the closest seat to the stage and my mom and sister were behind me; they said they couldn't see what was happening in the left hand corner of the stage, which was quite a bit. There were also some times when we were looking at the back of someone's head, but overall I enjoyed the seats. Anytime you are off to the side you are going to miss something. Overall I thought the sight lines were pretty good. Definitely worth the price, plus I was just happy to be seeing the show!
"How is the view from the front row and from the boxes?"
I sat front row Left Orchestra and it was too close. For rush seats (and for the price) they are fine but you can' see the activity on the second floor of the house very well.
I sat in the left box on Friday in the last seat in the back, you miss very, very little while sitting in the left box.
I sat in the front row tonight and I dont think you miss much of anything to be honest. Yes, you are looking up a lot, but I think its well worth it to see Alice Ripley's performance that close.
All you really miss in the front row is Gabe in his boxers in "Just Another Day" and Diana at the medicine cabinet during "I Miss The Mountains" Everything else you can see by just looking up.

Just got back from rush this morning. Arrived at around 9:30 and I was third in line. By 10 there were about half a dozen more people behind me. I'm front row (roughly) center, seats 105-107.
Also, for those interested, they DO take credit cards and you can actually request where you want to sit. If you want a box rather than front row or something, it seems as though they're fairly flexible and you can ask. The person after me did that.
They took credit cards? Yesterday the girl ahead of me in line tried to use a card and they made her go get cash. Interesting.
I was in 105 last night, its a perfect seat if you dont mind the looking up.
I used a credit card and had no trouble. Also, I was not allowed to choose where I sat. (It was really crowded and the tickets hadn't been printed yet so that might have had something to do with it. They were just printing the tickets as they went along.)

Yeah, it probably depends on how many people are there. There weren't too many of us this morning.
TheBoyDownstairs, that's strange they made her get cash. People didn't seem to have any issue using credit cards this morning. Another misunderstanding between staff members? Oh well, I think most people expect to need cash anyway, since that's the policy for most rushes/lottos.
Am I correct in assuming they won't offer rush tickets for opening day?

So get this I lost the Wicked lottery today...which I just went to on a whim. The after decided to see by chance if they would have a single rush ticket left at Next to Normal ,craving for a 2nd viewing, and he said they did and he gave me a seat at G1. I know thats not normal rush seating but I was estatic with the amazing seat. I guess I was just blessed today...show is in great shape love it so much I noticed a change or two not very big though.
Hmm. interesting. I wonder if, when the performance isn't even close to full (it seemed about 50% on Tuesday), they'll just sell whatever's available as Rush.

I might attempt to do that tomm. night. I've seen the show at both Second Stage and Arena Stage, so I'm not exactly rushing to see this show. I mean, I know it's good, and I think it's great, but they didn't really change anything from Arena, so it doesn't seem like I'm missing anything. Although, it would be nice to see it again and see if they beefed anything up for Broadway.
So if I was to rush the show on Saturday, what time would people suggest I get there? Also, it'll be my first time seeing the show so which seats have the best view (front row/left or right box)?

This past saturday I got there at 8:40 and was like 15th in line (though apparently if it hadn't been for some spring breakers I would have been like 8th or 9th).
The best view of the whole show will be from the boxes (because you'll be able to see all 3 levels easily and won't have to look up much) but the front row is AMAZING for its closeness to the performers. it's hard to beat sitting 3 feet from alice ripley and watching the tears stream down her face.
there really aren't bad seats.

What would be the easiest day to rush? I don't exactly want to get up that early, but for one day it won't hurt... like Sunday maybe?
