I rushed this morning as well. Got there at 7:45 and got seats B 2-4. They're giving out the first row and box seats.
So about how many seats are there total if it's only front row and boxes?
Glad to hear it's only student rush. At least that clears it up now.

I think it's around 22 seats if I'm counting correctly.
Thanks for the correction. Don't blame the box office staff, the miss infomation came from the theatre manager and the production staff. Do you think if i get there 3:30ish i will be able to get two tickets?. How is Chicago rush lately if i get there around 3:30ish?. Thanks. My mom does not want to pay 60 dollar each for hair.

That's ludicrous. If there are press releases that say general rush and the website in no way indicates it is a student rush then they should not be selling student rush tickets.

i got there today around 12:30 and the box office told me they sold out of rush basically right after they opened. "I opened to a crowded lobby--you have to get here super early."
Would 11 o'clock be too late to get rush tickets for tomorrow? Did they offer any post-rush discounts?

Any reports from the rush line today? Was everything sold out soon after the box office opened today? Are they still checking for student IDs, or has the box office been officially told that it's general rush now? Thanks!
I got in line at 9:55 this morning and was probably about 20th in line and got right box. There was a bit of a line behind me. But if it's only front row orch and the boxes, I imagine I was one of the last people to get tickets as a few people in front of me got left box and the people way in front got front row.
I rushed today, I got there at about 9 and was 6th in line. When the box office opened, I'd say there were about 21-22 people.
My ticket is AA 107, which is approximately center of the front row. They did NOT check for IDs of any sort, and several older people who were clearly not students had no issue getting tickets.
Not sure why but yesterday they definitely checked for id's. It seemed like everyone that was there had a student id though so it wasn't an issue. Also there are 26 seats with the front row and the boxes.
Apparently there was some sort of miscommunication about the rush policy yesterday.
It's a general rush. There was, in fact, a miscommunication between the producers and the box office.
WiCkEDrOcKS: are we certain about this? Has the communication been cleared up?
Well, the fact that they didn't check IDs today seems to indicate as much.

I have the option of getting into the city at 8, 9, or 10 tomorrow. I was thinking 9 to get 1 ticket for the matinee. Should I be able to get a ticket?
I'm also looking for one ticket for tomorrow's matinee. Is 11 too late? Should I get there at 10?
I also did the rush this morning and got there a little before 10 and got left box seats. It's definitely a general rush because my mom just went up to the window and he just needed to see another face to get three.
As far as tomorrow goes, I don't know that you can ever really judge, but if my experience today counts for anything getting there within the last hour before the box office opens should be ok. The again if you want front row instead of boxes being there extra early could pay off.

Hopefully rushing on Thursday... I'm so excited for this show! I've never seen it, but from the reactions on here and the clips I've heard, it seems to be something special.

So glad it's a general rush...I really wanna see this so and money is tight right now.
Silly question, but exactly how much are the rush tickets? I know the website says $25, but are they $26.50 with the fee? $27?
Thanks!

So I'm confused is it a student or general rush?
Also would this show be ok for a 10 year old?
GENERAL rush.
It's not recommended for children under 13.
