How is someone who sees the show repeatedly ridiculous? How exactly does it affect you?

I understand that certain people on rush lines can be a bit irritating, and too much to take. And your stuck listening to them because you have nowhere else to go.

But, they're buying tickets and lining up early just like everyone else. It doesn't matter if it's their 1st, 10th, or 100th time.

As someone who just joined today I am a little wary of making enemies here early on. I feel being supportive of a show is a good thing and so long as the person isn't giving up necessities (i.e. food, housing, etc.) and isn't hurting anybody, they are entitled, aren't they?

I go to shows and return if I like them. I never felt it was crazy to do so.

I only hope this is a kind, friendly place. I have lurked for so long and just recently joined.

I just rushed this morning, got there about 9:15ish or so and was about 10th in line. No problem getting tickets, we snagged one of the left boxes (We meaning me and 2 others). The front row was full and a girl ahead of me requested orchestra seats instead of a box and it was no problem.

I didn't see anyone pay with a card, but according to other posters you can use one.

Just putting it out there before someone decides to accuse, no the person there every Sunday is NOT me. I have rushed exactly twice since n2n started on Broadway.

I'd bring cash if you are able to though, because I did rush once where the man working the box office refused to let the girl in front of me pay with a card and had to go get cash and end up at the back of the line.

The cash/ card thing is entirely dependent on who is working the box office that morning. The heavyset man will let you use a card, no problem. The man with the beard (who is not as pleasant) insists on cash only.

Will they let me request a seat next to the crazy Indian usher? :-P

Serious question though... Do they give extra seats after the boxes and front row are filled up? I think one person on here mentioned that they did, so I was wondering if they always did that. When I rushed, there were a lot of people, more than the number of tickets even with two shows, but I didn't wait to find out if the people at the very end of the line still got tickets.

They gave me some side orchestra tickets once after all the regular rush tickets were gone. I'm not sure if they do it all the time though.

They didn't do that last friday. After the box seats, customers were told the rush was sold out.

somethingwicked...i'm 95% sure i know who you are talking about...i guess shes trying to make a name for herself lol. i'm not hating on her i just think its funny that i know who it is. if you love a show that much, enjoy it! if you can afford to go to see it 4 times a week, go ahead! some people have nothing else to do so why not? plus they could use a sales boost.

I didn't feel like searching through the thread to find out this or not, so I apologize. But 1) How has the line been lately? I'm getting there at 8:30 on Friday morning, so how has it looked to anyone who has gone lately? 2) Do they still accept credit cards?

^^Even if a rush says it accepts credit cards, I always bring cash. I'm paranoid that way and I don't want to end up without tickets :).

I'm planning on trying the rush tomorrow once I get out of my morning class (9:15). I should be fine, right?

Are the tickets two per person?

I went this morning for the rush around 9:45. I ended up being 9th in line. By the time I got to the front, they only had one seat in the front row, so we got box seats.

For what it's worth, I asked the woman if she could give me second row or side orchestra, but she said that she doesn't have as much leeway as she did before so it's pretty strict to front row and box seats.

(Another update) - I took a few friends this morning (5/6) to do the rush and we ended up getting there about the same time as last time (9:40). Only I guess the Tony nominations had a big effect. There were about 30 or so people in front of us, so the rush tickets were long gone by the time we got to the front. We opted to get the last row mezzanine though since the theater is so small.
