I think it's late, but a production that was really ready (an of-Broadway or regional transfer) could do it.  There's 10 weeks or so between the Tony deadline and Allegiance closing.

The mid Febuary closing just early enough for a play to move in. If I had to guess the Shuberts enacted the stop clause of Allegiance's contract as they have  a star driven play in the pipe with no home.

WHORL is a possibility. Do you think GOTTA DANCE could come in early? All of it's production is ready to be moved in and it got good reviews.

 

I think most likely is that there'll be some "event" ala Illusionists/Lord of the Dance there for the spring/most of the summer and either SMOKEY JOE'S or NATASHA, PIERRE, AND THE GREAT COMET will go there in august/september
