Posted: 5/8/11 at 9:45amMOUNTAINTOP is a monodrama about Martin Luther King, performed by Laurence Fishburne. DETROIT is a drama by Lisa D'Amour. It was at Steppenwolf, where it was praised by Charles Isherwood -- so that's why it's coming to Broadway (the NY Times is already on record as liking it). Austin Pendelton's the director.

"Other Desert Cities is moving to Broadway?"
Yes. It would have moved this season but there was no available theatre.

Posted: 5/8/11 at 2:04pmTHE MOUNTAINTOP is actually a two-hander about Martin Luther King, taking place the night before he died. The other role is a female maid at the motel, which is apparently yet to be cast.

Has anything been announced to go into the Richard Rodgers or St James, apart for the 'Hair' revival.
I thought Zorba, Hedwig and Love Never Dies were opening at some point.
What musicals are rumored to be opening later this season in the fall?

Evita is supposedly eyeing The Neil Simon for next Spring.
Personally I would love to see Follies transfer to the St James, but I don't think its likely...

I give Rent a few months then in November it'll die off.
Also if it does continue, they could replace Adam.
