Posted: 6/17/09 at 1:07amSo far the best and probably most expected candidate is Dee Roscioli. Jennifer DiNoi is also in talks, so is some Alyssa Fox chick. Julia Murney has been brought up too somewhere on youtube. So who is replacing? I'm flying up to NYC from New Orleans sometimes this july and I would really love to see Nicole, but if Dee or Julia is replacing I think I just may wait. I am also seeing 9 to 5. Yay! So what is the deal. And why is wicked taking so long to reveal the new Elphie?

i am sure if will not be julia because she is in california from july 9 - august 2 doing 'the best is yet to come. the music of cy coleman.' and i don't think she would do wicked again.
we will find out soon hopefully. until then we just have to be patient and wait until it is announced or information leaks through somewhere.

I am a fan of wicked, seen it 5 times, but I think it is somewhat stupid to keep recycling women to play the part. I mean, once you play a witch, you can move on to do other things. I feel sorry for the Kendra Kassabaums and Dee Roscioli's out there. Let someone else have a go at the show, it's not like it won't sale.

She did, but she wasn't recycled. She stayed standby for many years. I think that the reusing of say, Eden Espinosa, one elphaba many people find amazing, I find...boring. She's been in 3 diffrent wicked stints. Kendra however has done Tour, Nyc, took a break, back to Nyc, and now in San Fran. She's been Glinda for almost 5 years now...
I just want some new talent. I personally love Nicole Parker's take on the role because it's Fresh.

i want Saycon to come back after she is done with Hair.
and Eden is a fantastic Elphaba...however I'm glad she is done..(for now)..Kendra on the otherhand...Its enough...really..she has been Glinda for way too long now

Posted: 6/17/09 at 4:20pmI saw Dee in '07 in Chicago and she wasn't very good in my opinion. She played everything extremely safe to the point of being boring. Victoria Matlock, who I saw a week later on tour, impressed me far more than Dee.

It's not like they need to save up money like YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN had to, why can't they bring in new actresses to play the part instead of the endless recycling that has become way too tiresome?
