I think Stuffed is playing Off Broadway sometime soon it's a Lisa Lampenelli project.

It seems she has only gotten roles that only have to do with her size. That is incredibly sad and kind of f*cked.

Gurl, Nikki ain't in no Broadway show. That play is more-or-less Off-Off-Broadway!

And? There are some amazing shows off off Broadway. She is doing what she loves again, that is the most important thing.

It's just funny that she's trying to say she's in a Broadway show. While great theater isn't just on Broadway, there's definitely a status that comes with being on Broadway.

Well, she is right down the street from Kinky Boots....which is a Broadway show. I'll allow it.

BroadyFosse, yes, it's not Broadway, but it's also not less than off-Broadway. The Westside Theatre's a reputable place; Lampanelli has a following; and the show was pretty well-received when it was done by the WP Project last season. How is it more Off-Off than Off?

I can't tell if she's hyping herself up by using the "Broadway" label, or if she genuinely doesn't know what qualifies as a Broadway show. Either way, depressing to see

I don't understand, so people aren't allowed to have normal lives? The Hollywood system is what it is and the Broadway-one is even more narrow (ask ANY minority). I wish she had been in the NBC Live version because she is a way better fit. I'm still trying to understand why she wasn't given a cameo but whatever. Given the track ahead of most insta-fame celebrity she impresses because she is doing something with her life. She has wonderful voice and charisma for days, who says she isn't perfectly happy doing what she is doing now?

She did a Lifetime movie; a web series for MTV; and a few indie films (The English Teacher with Julianne Moore, an adaptation of the YA novel Geography Club, and others). She also was the lead in an ABC Family series, Huge, developed by Winnie Holzman, but it only lasted one season. Plus she had guest spots on Ugly Betty and Smash. Her career pretty much dried up around 2011-12, but earlier this summer her new film with Burt Reynolds and Chevy Chase played the Tribeca Film Festival.
She gets a lot of crap around here for her (admittedly desperate and obnoxious) posts to celebrities saying, "Hey, it's Nikki Blonsky from Hairspray..." but I always found her charming and sweet and endearing on camera. Hopefully this run off Broadway will open some new doors for her.

Without bringing up details, she pretty much closed many doors on herself quite quickly. She starred in the enormously successful 2007 film version of HAIRSPRAY which starred more than a handful of superstars AND was produced by the same team that produced the NBC Live Event version of HAIRSPRAY. HOW COULD THEY POSSIBLY FORGET HER?
She knows all too well why she was not included as do Ricki Lake and Marissa Jaret WInokur who weren't "forgotten."

We're not questioning that, amigo. The topic is why she was excluded from any participation in last year's HAIRSPRAY Live! NBC TV EVENT. Both former Tracy's had cameos in the live broadcast but Nikki didn't to which her response is she was forgotten. Really, girl?
