I'm just old fashioned, but I missed it. Rather have seen that than that Godspell thing.
Apparently it was shown during a commercial break to the live audience.

They technically had one, but it wasn't televised. They had it over two commercial breaks. I was sad that it wasn't there as well. It usually recognizes greats that don't get much recognition outside of the industry during there lives.
Poor Arthur, overlooked at the Oscars and now his Tony Memorial Moment gets shown during a commercial break...
All joking aside, its pretty sad they didn't show it on the Live Telecast

I always thought the commercials were when everyone ran to the bathroom and sipped from their flasks.
Gothampc actually thats what they used to be...with all of the creatives done at 7 during the breaks they just showed extended performances...and film clips
such as this
Shrek Auditions 2009 Tonys
I think this is the biggest faux pas of the evening. They reallly should be ashamed of themselves.
Does anyone know if TonyAward.com has it posted anywhere?
They really should keep this in the televised portion.
Yes, dramamama. They have a list of the departed on the website, a place you can comment on those listed, or those they didn't mention.
They've posted it online, at least:

So this got cut but Hairspray made it in. Got it.
This was actually quite classy as well. It would have been wonderful to see this on the telecast.
I was watching in Times Square- we had no commercials (saw all the creative awards)... there was no tribute.

I was at the ceremony, they did show the In Memoriam segment during a commercial break. I can't believe they didn't include this in the main telecast! We got Hairspray and Godspell, but no In Memoriam? Blasphemy! Also, they played other videos during different commercial breaks too, like previews for upcoming shows (Bring it On, Rebecca...), the Anything Goes "What Makes You Beautiful" video, and this one video of cast members from the four nominees for Best Musical having a "dance-of" in Times Square.
Hm, in Times Square they didn't show any of the videos, or the tribute.

I agree hasn't it been televised ever since the first Tony Awards??

I finally got to see it on YouTube. It is absolutely APPALLING that this wasn't shown during the broadcast. For some of the deceased, this would have been their last chance to get recognition and appreciation for what they accomplished during their careers. Let's start a petition!
