OFF B'way Suggestions

Ok, gang....I'll be in the city at xmas time and still have one slot open on my "dance card". I've seen or already have plans to see most of what's on B'way so am thinking of catching another off b'way show. (I'm still kicking my self for missing the Adding Machine.)

So, I'm looking for suggestions from you: what current off b'way show floats your boat now. (I've seen most/all of the "usual suspects") It need not be a musical, either...I'm all for straight plays, performance art!

The Marvelous Wonderettes .... It is HILARIOUS!!!!! Good music, wonderful costumes and not terribly expensive. :)

I loved Fuerzabruta....saw it last year or so.

BACK, BACK, BACK, BLASTED, and STREAMERS are all supposed to be excellent. I hear positive things about STREAMERS and BACK, BACK, BACK and either raves or pans for BLASTED. People are either totally disturbed and disgusted by it or enthralled and thrilled.

ROCK OF AGES is apparently a ton of fun and ENTER LAUGHING starts performances again on January 21st and I hear it's really good.

I recommend Awesome 80s Prom or Altar Boyz. And you can never go wrong with The Fantasticks. It's a classic.

Highly recommend Altar Boyz. I've seen it with different cast members, as well as the touring company, and it never disappoints.

I have to recommend "The Marvelous Wonderettes". I was absolutely enchanted by it and am giving my mother tickets for Christmas.

I've seen most of the "regular" fare off b'way including the Fantastics, Altar Boyz (and am seeing it again with my hs kids in the spring) Blue Man Group, etc.

I was hoping for suggestions on the newer stuff playing.

I will DEF look into What's the Smell...sounds good.
