Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter and Miss Lillian went to see Carol Channing in Hello, Dolly.
And she said in her autobiography that she was one-eighth black.

if "Joe Turner's Come and Gone" how did the Obamas know he'd be at the theater the exact night they went to see the play? Maybe they are just huge fans of Arliss Howard, who's white, thank you very much. Ever think of that???
