I have to agree with Fosse.
And, in addition, it's as if the performances have just become carbon copies of carbon copies of carbon copies. It's so removed from the original that it almost feels like a different show at times.
Honestly, if they want to keep the show running, they need to do a little house cleaning. Things have grown more than a bit stale.
I lost so I am home. I'll upload the pix in a sec.
Yes! Pictures!
Just a general consensus, was the lottery any worse than say the last week of Idina's run at Wicked? Virgin Megastore?
Honestly, you have to stop with the Wicked fangirl beef. It's getting old...
And so are they!
Yes, I own the infamous Idina red track suit, and it's one of my favorite soccer warm ups. The end.
But did you buy it BECAUSE of Idina? That's the determining factor on the Nutso-O-Meter.
I took some pix....
(I think that's Matt Caplan in the one below, right?)

Is that Constantine Maroulis from Idol? I know he was on the Rent tour, but why would he be there drawing lotto? I can understand Frenchie doing it cause she's in the show now.
OMG. It looks like Halloween in the Castro.
Wow...it really wasn't that bad.

Amen to that. I saw the show three times with the original cast, then again in 1997. Then I saw it summer of 2004 and it was not the same show any more. It looked like a talent show for college kids to karaoke their favorite Rent characters. The show really needs some direction. Preferably, someone who actually remembers the original production, which it barely resembles now. I was embarrassed to take Jarico to see it for the first time and try to explain to him that it really is not as bad as it looked. He was severely disappointed in finally getting to see the show on Broadway and felt it was a waste of money.
Thanks for posting pics, lisaspo.

Hahah, I have to admit it after seeing those pictures that I have the tiniest crush on Constantine.
Thanks so much for the pictures. I hate Constantine with a passion...
So my official prediction a few months ago was about 2000 people. Does anyone who was there have an estimate of how many people were in attendance? I am very curious!
Ya beat me to it! Here's some more...

Asked, I know, but I can't find the answer. Is this going to be taped? Other than illegally, I mean.

It was very bad organized. However, Frenchie was very cute and helped make the situation better. I have to say that I love her 'Season of Love' a lot, not from today but from the show that I saw two months ago.
Constantine was just stupid and annoying.

I saw the tour when it came to Baltimore 2 Christmases ago and was blown away by how moving it was. Granted, it was my first time and I had nothing to compare it to, but the cast seemed to be so genuinely into their characters - it was amazing. Too bad they can't get those same cast members to come to Broadway. Sounds like they could use some help...
Sorry to everyone who didn't win, and congrats to those who did.

If not a video are they going to try and make a 10th Anniversary CD?
awww i loved constantine as roger!!! I wish I could have been there!
Yeah, I went and lost, and yes, I cried. It's so unfair ,I know it is for a great cause but $1000 is just ricidulous and so far out of the average RENT fans range. They should have made it more assessable, although I am glad the ydid do lotto. I'm majorly bummed cause the lotto seemed rigged, all the winners were fro mthe SAME area on the other side of the street. Oh well, maybe i'll have the money for the 20th reunion...

Oh, a CD would be great! I'm kind of not that sad I didn't get to even try going down there, because I know I wouldn't have won anyway. I mean, I don't even win the Avenue Q lotto, and there is NO WAY I am going to win Rent's 10 Year Anniversary lotto, which looks like it had a ton more people than the Avenue Q lotto will ever have at one drawing. Congrats to everyone who got in! Tell us how it was! The pictures look great, but I am confused as to why Constantine was doing the drawing. Frenchie, yeah, she's in the show. Constantine? Okay so he WAS in the tour.
Woah, two American Idols doin' it.
At least one had & has extreme talent.
Constantine ruined the show for me in Boston.
Congrats to the winners! I can not wait for reviews!

Probably because he was paid to. :)
