Mine would be
Sweet Charity - The Palace. January 29, 1966
Such a HISTORIC night. The Palace reopens as a legit theatre, and with Gwen Verdon in arguably her most famous role - Sweet Charity.
How about you?

Ugh! Mateo, you stole mine!
A Chorus Line!
Gypsy(original) would have been neat, too.
Dreamgirls.
Rent NY Theatre Workshop.
Rent is not one of my favorites, but to be there that night... wow, that would be an emotional experience.

Evita, w/Patti LuPone. That night broadway must have been electric.
42nd Street. One bacuse it is a great show, but when they announced Gower Champion's death. I mean wow, what a shock.
A Chorus Line, obvious reasons.
Democracy, it was my favorite and best play ever to been on braodway. Regardless if people understood what it meant.
Wicked, because I just love the message of this show.
Phantom & Cats. Two great musicals. Also I second Rent.
Finally Elaine Stritch at Liberty. Probably on the best nights I have ever been at the theatre. I know this post was about one show, but I hope no one minds.
OMG elaine!! love her!
does anyone know if At Liberty will be available on DVD anytime soon?
Phantom of the Opera, London, 1986---but I'll go along with Jesus, Hamlet in London in 1602 or so would be great!. I'd want the time machine to bring me on back home though---a nice time to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.
See above. The board (or my computer) burped. Updated On: 4/16/06 at 12:54 AM

Phantom (London & Broadway!)
Les Mis (London)
Wicked
Rent NY Theater Workshop
Beauty and the Beast (Just to hear all of the ooohs and ahhhs)
Lion King for the same reason as above

"Hello, Dolly!" with Ethel Merman. It marked her return to the Broadway stage after "Gypsy" and it was originally written with her in mind. I did get to see the closing performance which might have been just as good. At the time it closed, it was the longest running musical in Broadway history. I have also seen the closing performances for "A Chorus Line", "La Cage Aux Folles" (the original), "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" and "Saturday Night Fever".
