I agree with Rent - not my favourite but again for the emotion of the night

Wicked (because it wouldn't have been 'ruined' by spoilers)

Not an opening night but I would have given anything to have been at the Les Mis 10th Anniversary Concert.

Les Miserables at the Barbican in London. Before it transferred to the Palace. Just to see the first night of such a production. To see the newspapers next day giving it bad notices but the people lining up to see it. To have such a magical cast and production and being one of the first to see it.

lol. I kind of agree. Out of all the classic musicals that had real important openings - they would want to be at an opening that only happened 10 years ago.

~Wicked ( For Idina and Kristin)
~ Phantom of the Opera London ( For Micheal Crawford)
~ Rent ( For Idina and Taye)
~ Les Mis London ( For no one I just like the show!)
Just because I got the lead doesn't mean you can't be my understudy!:)

"My Fair Lady" or "Phantom." Or "Camelot." Didn't like the movie, and the stage version I saw was just okay, nothing spectacular. What I'd give to have seen it with Burton/Andrews/Goulet!

Sweeney Todd!!!! revival and original, that would be a dream.

also Phantom, that would be so much fun and Light in the Piazza. The party looked gorgeous.

The Producers and La Cage revival, definately, I cannot imagine how much fun those would be!

The Phantom of the Opera (London) This show is a spectacle, it would have been awesome to experience this show without knowing what was going to happen.

Sweeney Todd - I'm sure this show shocked a lot of people when it first opened.

Cats (London premiere) Why not?

Les Miserables (Barbican Theatre) Patti Lupone as Fantine. Being there would be a significant part of musical theatre history.

A Chorus Line 5,6,7,8!

Rent (NYTW)Again musical theatre history - I would have loved to experienced the raw emotion of the actors at this time.

Miss Saigon - Wonderful show that generated controversy when the producers did not hire an Asian to play The Engineer.

Kiss of the Spider Woman, May 3, 1993

Sunday in the Park with George, May 2, 1984

42nd Street, August 20, 1980 (Not a fan of the show really but because of Champions death, being a fan of his work)

Carnival, April 13, 1961 (love the show, Jerry Orbach's debut and Gower Champion directed)

- Cabaret (original and Roundabout revival)

I was at the opening of the Roundabout CABARET...the most astonishing night of theatre I've ever had...cause it was just so unexpected.

I would choose, however, original STREETCAR, original DEATH OF A SALESMAN and WEST SIDE STORY.
