The prices have gone up because the demand is so high that every performance has been a sell out, even the odd Tuesday matinees, and they keep extending.

When I went back in July, the prices I saw seem to max out at 89.50, and I only paid 39.50, but since I’ve gone, it’s extended twice. It’s the sleeper hit of London.

yup Sonia-ATG is aggressively looking to do that with many many more productions on Broadway

I saw it a few weeks ago - it took me a song or two to really get into it, but once I did, I completely loved it. I've been listening to the Cast Recording a lot since - a lot of very catchy songs and the performers are terrific. The scale and scope make it feel a bit more like an Off-Broadway show to me that could run really well at a New World Stages, but given it's likely to win a bunch of Olivier Awards, maybe they could make a deal with Second Stage for a run at the Hayes, if not the Kerr does seem like the likely option out of the now ATG/Jujamcyn houses.

Yes, it is a fairly "British" show, but there have been quite a few that have done very well in the last few years and I believe it would be a huge hit in NYC. I'd see it again there.

I didn't mean the ceiling, I meeant the fact that on Saturdays, they sell every single seat in the house at 89.5, 79.5 on Fridays and 69.5 on Thursdays, some of them with appalling views. What sort of structure is that, and how they justify every seat being same value when it is very much not?

One thing you can count on at the Fortune theatre is that you’re about 90% likely to have an obstructed view unless you’re in the front row of any section. One of the worst raked theatres I’ve ever been in (and in the UK, you have your fair share of horrible sight lines) which makes me even more confused why this show is directed to play so much downstage, where obstruction is the worst for so many people.

So if you ARE planning on seeing this on the west end, study Seatplan very carefully before buying a ticket.

Where is the ATG conversation coming from? It’s not produced by ATG UK or US, it’s just booked in an ATG theatre.

I can confirm with Jordan that you MUST carefully look at seat views in this theatre. I ended up in the 3rd row center of the Stalls and that was a perfect seat. I’m big and tall, so the stalls was a better section for me. Also, the legroom was decent. Yes, it’s very intimate but you need to make sure you have a decent seat

The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

This show is the best time to be had at the theater in London right now.  Glad it has blossomed into such a hit.  And I think this will do very well on Broadway.  This is the must see if you travel to the West end right now.
