So glad Lucky Guy got nominated for best off-Broadway musical. Hoping it wins.
But the other three--- a grim lot they are.
And how the appalling Queen of the Mist could be nominated for anything other than worst musical of the century is beyond me.

Is the Outer Critics Circle Awards usually an indicator of what the Tony Award nominees will likely look like (kinda like how Golden Globes is an early indicator of Oscar front-runners etc.)?
'Cause if so, does this mean that Spider-Man actually has a chance of being nominated for BEST MUSICAL? I certainly hope not. If anything GHOST deserves that Best Musical nod over SPIDER-MAN in my opinion.

Oh my bad...didn't see page 2 of this thread until after I posted. :/
I think GHOST deserves the technical awards over SPIDER-MAN though. However, SPIDERMAN should definitely win for costume design.
The lighting design category is tough as I thought EVITA also had phenomenal lighting work.

Does anyone see Jennifer Damiano getting a nomination for SpiderMan? I didn't see her in the show, but some say she is one of the better things, along with Patrick Page.

Patrick Page POSSIBLY but I really doubt Jennifer Damiano, I think it's a bit of a thankless role that doesn't really command much attention.
Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.

Just curious, but how much of a letdown is it for "Evita" / Elena Roger that she failed to get a nomination? Is there a chance that the same thing will happen to her with the Tonys? from RC in Austin, Texas
