Realized I haven’t posted about this. I saw it twice last month and it’s as good as everyone says it is. Kids are mesmerized and the adults are, too. The applause and response that bear get (in London) is what you’d expect if someone like Julie Andrews took the stage - awe and amazement. I’m not going to speak to whether or not this show could work in New York because I have no idea. I’ve mentioned elsewhere how you can’t walk 10 feet in London without seeing Paddington’s face on something and it’s just not like that here. Children and adults all filled the Savoy wearing clothes that had the bears face on them, it’s really a cultural thing and amazing to see how it effects every generation that steps foot into the theatre.
But the musical is pure joy from start to finish and really does appear to be one of the biggest smash musicals the West End has seen in a long time. I‘m back next month and can’t wait to see it again. I’m sure I could see this a hundred times and always walk out with the same enormous smile on my face.

I still think this comes to Broadway next season. It feels like a sure fire hit over here. And considering the lack of new musicals this season, it feels like this will get raves and sell very well.

To SuttonRoss and others, instead of me answering your questions, why don’t you be your own judge, if you haven’t seen this already the introduction to Paddington and a song ‘spirit of London’ and ask yourself would you give a special ‘bear-hug.’

Many many families in the audience...and many many singles, gay couples (we're always ahead of the curb...), and a lot of everyday millennials. I had difficulty thinking about who I *wouldn't* recommend this show to. Personally, I'm a married elder millennial attorney....and I loved every moment of this."
Thank you so much.

I guess the digital release is no longer in March. According to Apple Music and Spotify, it's being released in May.

Even the theater critic from the NY Post loved it and he usually hates everything.
