Bummed Tom Hollander isn't transferring with it.

looking forward to this play, it looks satirical from the trailer."
Um…NO! The Belasco is WAY TOO SMALL! Dear England needs a big theatre if it’s coming over here. The only big and vacant theatres that can accommodate this show’s large set would be the Palace, or the Majestic."
London loves to give us massive sets for plays, which I love."
And casts as big as musicals. London is way ahead when it comes to straight plays.

i'm sure the acting will be stellar, but i'm struggling to see myself sitting through a play about Putin.
not so much because <yawn> as because <shudder>. but really because i can only see so many things and IRL this story just comes with more baggage than i care to carry.

A whole bunch of dates for this popped up on TDF for those interested
So this isn't the show about the football team?
I think something about Tom Brady would probably be more interesting & also sell better.
Please, 80 for Brady was bad enough. I can't stand him.
It was a joke. Because of that other show rumored about soccer AKA football.

Putin is not the lead. The play is fascinating and the actor playing Putin will be a serious candidate for a supporting actor Tony.
Interesting tidbit in the full casting announcement for PATRIOTS:
NETFLIX will make its Broadway producing debut with the show. They're partnered with Sonia Friedman on the stage production of Stranger Things, and have a multi-year association with Peter Morgan thanks to The Crown, but I wonder if this could indicate a miniseries or film adaptation (or a filmed stage production) will follow?

iiiiiinteresting. We already know Netflix has an association with stage works - their release of the proshot of Diana and producing the Stranger Things West End play(s) for instance - so factoring in their partnership with Peter Morgan it would make sense that this is meant to lead to a proshot, or even a film/miniseries.
Paulson with the scoop:
"Netflix is already in the early stages of developing a screen adaptation of the story, according to Emily Feingold, a Netflix spokeswoman."
