So after we see the windows we go back upstairs, and I remain forlorn and very convinced that this is a lost cause, basically wanting to bag the whole operation. Etheb convinced me that we should stick around, maybe we'd get lucky... so we did. We see Minnie and her enterege come down, and someone say "two out, four to go." We figure Patrick has to be on his way soon.
Next elevator comes, and I hear the dinging noise, subconsciously turning around to see what it is, but terribly unenthused. I quickly make and break eye contact with some beautiful blue eyes in the back corner, but then turn back to etheb to talk about whatever.
she was totally ready to leave and i refused to let her. i did lots of detective work and i KNEW they'd be coming down this one certain elevator. and....
Sorry, Emcee just IMed me and said she wants to catch Will & Grace and then head to bed. It's been a long day for her, beacon. You'll have to wait until tomorrow. Expecting anything more would simply be selfish.

Patrick came out, surrouded by some other people. I blanked, and looked at the ground. Etheb wasn't about to let this go, and I love her for it -
E: Patrick! He looks over, apparently flattered. By the way, we totally didn't bother with Gerard Butler, who was right there, too. We all know who I'm in this for. E: Can we talk to you for a second? I backed up shyly, half expecting him to say he couldn't stop. He stopped his entire small entourage and gave us a sweet "sure!" and came right over. Me: I've been waiting two years to see you back in New York! Patrick: Two years? Me: yeah, Oklahoma! Loved it. Patrick: Oh, yeah! I said something about Angels in America, but I don't know what it is. Etheb asked if we could take a picture, and Patrick said of course. He put his arm around her, and for some reason, I completely froze, just trying to process what was going on. It was so strange to me, but so amazing at the same time, to see those bright blue eyes again, and to have that deja-vu feeling of turning around to see him standing right behind me. So I came to my senses and put my arm around Patrick for the picture. I thanked him, and wished him luck with everything, and etheb said we couldn't wait for the movie. Patrick: I think you'll really like it!
And that was it. He hasn't changed a bit. I really, really missed him and it was so wonderful to see him again.
of course, after all this i reminded emcee how much she owes me for making her stay and then for getting patrick's attention. a couple of broadway tickets outta cover it--full price of course
