The new musical revue PRINCE OF BROADWAY starts previews this Thursday the 3rd. Anyone here going soon? Really interested to hear how it is. I might catch it in September if I get to NYC as planned.

I snagged a $30 under 30 ticket for first preview Thursday night! Very excited.
Feels like this has been in development for ages. Hope it has been worth it!
I'm going on August 18th. Still need to find a date to accompany me. Lol. But I'll be sure to report back! :)
I apologize if this has been asked already, but I did some searching, and didn't see this asked before...

On the link above, it says it's an open run, but on Telecharge, they're only selling up to Sunday, October 22nd. So, I'm assuming this is wrong information, and the show's a limited run?

To my knowledge, it was always a limited run, like most other MTC shows.

As part of its Great Performances series, PBS has scheduled "Prince of Broadway" on November 17. Other titles in the series are taped performances of SHE LOVES ME, HOLIDAY INN and such. I'm assuming its "Prince" segment can't be the actual show, which I think must be longer than 90 minutes. But if's confusing.
PBS' PRINCE OF BROADWAY: A Tribute to Hal Prince is basically a feature-length profile/semi-documentary on Hal Prince. They will show rehearsal material from the upcoming Broadway production of PRINCE OF BROADWAY. They're not airing the actual show. This is simply a long commercial for the show. They did the same thing for Bob Fosse when FOSSE was opening on Broadway in 1999.
The robot version of Hal Prince is no longer in the show, correct?

One of the few changes is the narrator bit. They are now having the actors introduce each transition/section.

eager to hear some reports! This show's got some of my favorites actors but I honestly don't see a plot that will make more interesting than a Broadway in Bryant Park...

I wonder if we'll get a recording....

Did anyone try the TodayTix rush for this show this morning? I clicked the Rush button at exactly 10am and there were apparently tickets still available, but when I tried to put the tickets in my cart, it kept saying that the tickets were already in someone else's cart! I kept clicking repeatedly without success. Anyone have any experience with rushes on TodayTix?

Can anyone who went to dress last night share the running time?
Prince of Broadway runs approximately 2 hours 30 minutes, with one intermission.

Well, just think of how many other people were pressing the button at the same as you. This happened to me for The Little Foxes all the time. You just tap away and nothing. Very frustrating. The app can't handle all the orders coming in at once so you need to be really lucky and just catch it. Sweat was really easy though. You did nothing wrong. There was just a mish mosh of people trying to do the same thing all at once.

The trick is to keep refreshing. I've had success with every rush on there that way. Just spend from 9:58-10:10 constantly hitting it again and again and eventually it should work. Might have to try 2-3 days though.

Thanks to nasty_khakis and TheThreadMaster for your responses. So it sounds like this is normal and I just have to keep clicking away and hope that it will go through one of the times I press the button!

Wait? You're saying there's a robot Hal Prince out in the world? Is it now safely contained, or is it ready to go on a murderous rampage once SkyNet takes over?
Bumping so this it's near the top when hopefully some BWW posters exit the first preview shortly!
