I think the only shows I paid full price for were "Thoroughly Modern Millie" and "Les Miserables."
"You're the worst thing to happen to musical theatre since Andrew Lloyd Webber!" --Family Guy
"Shut up! It's been 29 years!!!" --the incomparable Patti LuPone in her MUCH DESERVED Tony acceptance speech for Gypsy.
Kitzy's Avatar du Jour: Kitzy as Little Red Ridinghood in her college's production of "Into the Woods"

i pay full price for about 90% of the shows that i see. am i doing something wrong? i'd rather go to a show and be able to see and "connect" with the actors then just attend the show and sit up in the rafters...

Thoroughly Modern Millie, this past weekend, even though there are usually discounts, when I first heard it might be Sutton's final week, I just wanted to be there, front and center, and it was well worth it, even though she re-upd.
Wicked, I'll be seeing it next week, and a couple of days after I bought them there were discounts.

um the last time was when i saw Nine the revival. it was $101 a ticket and there was only 2 seats left and they werent even together. So my mom sat on 1 side of the mezz. and i sat on the far other side by myself. But it was pretty cool, cuz i sat by this elderly couple and they started a conversation with me about what broadway shows ive seen. Ive also paid full price for Hairspray for $65! ~pC~

London:
A Woman of No Importance (house seats just released, so it was worth it both for the show & the location)
NY:
Little Shop -- gift tix, well worth every penny
Nine through Actors Fund -- lousy house seats, way too close & at an angle

Paid full price to see both of the following on 9/20/03:
The Boy From Oz: Worth it, but only because Hugh Jackman was amazing. The show itself, not so much.
and
Big River: Would have paid even more and it would still have been worth it. Amazing, amazing show.

I paid full price for The Full Monty in London and for Cabaret during Alan Cummings last week. Before that, I'd have to probably as far back as Song and Dance...

The last two I saw at full price were Chicago on Broadway and Urinetown on tour.
And as of right now the next two I'm seeing at full price are Chicago on Broadway and Urinetown on tour.
Lord, but I am predictable.

DOTV was a recent one. I was under the delusion because of Michael Crawford it would be a monster hit. Oh Well. Next 2 full pricers are Boy From Oz & Wicked . Everyone who I or my wife know who have seen Oz loved it. We shall see

We never pay retail--- well, ALMOST never! I paid full proce to see Hairspray last summer, because my daughter wanted to see the show before Marissa left. Worth the money.
