Is this the kind of thing she could drop she will star in "Here We Are" or is that wishful thinking on my part?

She's also in Beau is Afraid which is a recent release, so it may be for that? Does feel like this would be an opportunity to announce something new, however.

This is the most obvious reason for why she would be on THE VIEW.

By the way, she's great in that movie, and there's a world in which she could get an Oscar nom for it, but the movie is SO esoteric and out there. She also doesn't show up until the last half hour. I just don't see it resonating with the Academy and large populist audiences. Maybe the NY Film Critics Circle. Nathan Lane is also, predictably, very funny in his little chunk in the middle, and Amy Ryan is solid as ever.

I wondered if she was doing this in part to promote some of her concerts, as I knew she was playing Las Vegas sometime soon. When I googled I discovered that actually she played LV just last night - so she probably flew back to NYC today. 

I'm glad I checked her upcoming concert dates, as I found she will be playing Stanford University while I am in Northern California in June!  I picked up a ticket tonight & rejigged some of my reservations so that I will spend one less night in Monterey, & head over to Stanford/Palo Alto for one night.  The next couple days after that I am already booked up solid with both the San Francisco Symphony & Opera.  This was a really fortuitous discovery!
