Paul Mescal will lead a 2027 Lyttleton repertory season at the National Theatre, including ‘A Whistle in the Dark’ by Tom Murphy – Directed by Caitriona McLaughlin (in a co-production with Dublin’s Abbey Theatre). He’ll also play Biff in Arthur Miller’s ‘Death of a Salesman’ – Directed by Rebecca Fracknall. I think he mentioned it was a dream role of his and now curious to see who they'll cast as Willy

I love how committed he is to having stage productions in regular rotation with his other work.

The last thing I want to see is a Rebecca Frecknall production of DOAS. Though I think Mescal could be terrific as Biff.

I like Salesman and All My Sons as much as the next person but I feel like we need a 10 year break. There are other plays!
