I love Pippin. I would love to see this produced here on the east coast.
How long can Michael Arden look so YOUNG????? I would LOVE to hear him sing this show. I am jealous of all that do!
I love Ty Giordano. But he needs a haircut.
How many times is Michael gonna play Pippin before we get a Broadway transfer? This better be it.

It looks like High School Musical meets Hamlet 2 meets Pippin.
Sorry brother, he's already taken!
Notice some pic don red arms. They stopped it by the time I saw the show last Saturday. I'm glad they did.
I like Michael with the shorter hair.
Michael needs a sandwich. He looks too skinny.
Still love him though!
I'd say yes to a Michael Arden sandwich!!
OHHH, I went there. I went there, and I ain't goin back.
I'm hearing UNCONFIRMED rumors that the Roundabout is picking up this production of PIPPIN. Anybody know anything?
I saw it a couple of weeks ago and it was really good. Very clever how the hearing actors mirror the deaf actors.

BroadwayBaby6,
I hate to be rude, but it was you who posted here in December that Pippin was going to Broadway. Here is your exact quote:
"The leads have been told that this production IS GOING for Broadway. I am guessing that the deal with Roudabout has already been made but I have no proof YET."
How do you know what the leads were told and why is it now an 'unconfirmed rumor' when you basically stated it as a fact?
I'm curious.
I think it will go to Broadway though.

thanks for the lovely insight, Jennafraud
P.S. Ty Taylor can still sing??? SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD completely wrecked him and then he ended up on a reality tv show in '03. Sounded terrible.

Ty Taylor has an amazing voice. He killed it. If Pippin goes to Broadway, I hope they keep Ty.

Could you tell me if this Pippin was done with a full orchestra or a small orchestra? Either way, based on the comments in this thread, it seems to be a very good production.
There are seven in the band and a synth programmer.
Please, please, PLEASE bring Pippin to B'way!!
Pretty please?????
Sorry, but in it's current incarnation it is so not ready for Broadway. It needs a new focus, (read new director) for starters. I was surprisingly let down, they usually do such amazing work.

I don't know... I've seen much better productions of Pippin that I thought could be great on Broadway. But with the success of Big River and the relationship between Deaf West and Roundabout, I think this is the production that has the most chance (just by those factors) to get to Broadway.
The Roundabout has has nothing to do
with this production,
think Bigger,
More Corporate.
With that Times Review,
anything can happen.
I am still collecting my thoughts on this production.
It has a lot of potential...
I can't say I was let down, but Deaf West's Pippin will definitely need significantly more work for a transfer.

I find Deaf West's productions fascinating. Hope this one makes it to the East Coast!
