I did a search for this and couldn't find anything but I was wondering if there were any good places to eat cause I don't wanna stray too far from the show (Eugene O'Neill) before I watch it...

There's a nice greek restraunt on 7th avenue/56th street I forget the name.
Also, around there are the oyster bar and Rosy O'Grady's pub.

And I'm sure there is more.

There are so many places to eat in the theatre district that keeping up with them would be a full time job.
There is something for everyone and every budget from Mickey D's on up into the $tratosphere. Plus there is a huge variety of cuisine.
A good place to start would be Restaurant Row which is W. 46th between 8th and 9th Aves. There are about 20 restaurants on that block alone. On 9th Avenue is another plethora of places to eat although they are not as heavily concentrated as Restaurant Row.
Eating in NY is not a problem. It is almost a contact sport however because we all do it a lot.
And I'm sure there is more.

There is a Restaurant Guide just to the left<---------
When I'm pressed for time and/or money, I go to the diner on 8th Avenue (I think it's between 46th & 47th). When I have time and money, I like to go to Angus McIndoe's (44th Street, between 7th & 8th).
Juniors in shubert alley (mmm mmm mmm)
John's Pizzeria on 44th between 7th and 8th
I go to Ray's Pizza on 8th. God I could go for a slice right now!
On 9th Avenue is another plethora of places to eat although they are not as heavily concentrated as Restaurant Row.
I agree with this. These are the restaurants where the locals eat and the prices aren't aimed at the tourists. Everything you want there: Thai, Indian, Mexican, ...
Also, if you like burgers and cupcakes, you can always go to Burgers & Cupcakes. It's a few blocks away, on 9th between 36th & 35th, but it's worth it if you like burgers and cupcakes.
I'm with JK... Junior's is great and pretty reasonably priced... I usually go there before Xanadu.
And their dirty martinis are DIVINE!!! hehe
Sign me up as a fan of Junior's as well.
I keep almost-going to Junior's but I don't know how good it is. It's always crowded, but I walked in and noticed that most of the people were eating cake. How is the regular food there? Is it similar to Ben's deli?
i love the olive garden alot so i go there.
Zen Palate on 9th and 47th is great if you're looking for Asian. It's all vegetarian, which I guess is a plus or a minus depending on your preferences. As a vegetarian myself, I love love love it.

Personally, I like Mama Sbarrors which is...49th street, maybe? I think. It's basically in the middle of Times Square, on 7th Ave. or Broadway. They are cheap, and I am fond of their food
I usually eat there before shows. They have good pizza and have a warm buffett, plus a salad bar where you can choose your own toppings or whatever. I love that place.
There is a decent, charming and reasonable Italian restaurant on the same block (and side of street) as the O'Neil. I can't remember the name, but it is directly across from CHICAGO and has a little staircase going down to it.
Enjoy!

Ollie's
i also like that italian restaurant just next to Spring Awakening.. I believe its called Da Marino...
I second Zen Palate. Yummy and healthy!
Ollies in Times Square is closed
Try Bubba Gump's
Sosa Borella on Eighth Avenue around 51st. It's a little expensive, but the food is excellent, and they have a little outdoor patio in back.
No one is suggesting the Edison Cafe?!
It's the coffee shop in the Edison Hotel, at 47th off 7th.
Blintzes, delicious soups, hamburgers, sandwiches--low prices, a theater landmark, convenient, and usually an oasis of relative calm, even at 6 PM on a show night.
I think you're right, center or back! It's "Da Marino".
It's homemade, non-corporate food.
Most New Yorkers wouldn't be caught dead in a place like Olive Garden or any chain restaurant...
