So The Play that Goes Wrong just extended to March 2018? I thought something else was already coming in to take the Lyceum for the Spring, and The Play that Goes Wrong was always seen as a limited run that was going to close in January no matter what. Anybody know anything?

This was literally never the case?
Note I said, "I thought", especially since the original cast was only allowed to perform for 6 months due to equity/visa issues.
Didn't most of the cast leave the show a few months ago?
does anyone their operating costs. I find it really shocking they think they get through the winter months. Their grosses have never seemed extraordinary

The original British cast left after 6 months per visa limitations. They were replaced and the new cast is also excellent.

If this article is correct under 300K running costs so they make money almost every week (albeit not that much some weeks factoring in NET vs Gross).

Assuming for arguments sake the weekly nut is 300k, from their first week to now has had total running costs of 11.7 million. The Play ... has grossed 14.8 million, leaving 3.1 million in profits going towards recoupment. If that is nearly 50% of the investment money, would a 6.5-7 million investment sound about right?

That article is from October, so another six weeks need to be accounted for. My guess would be more 6-6.5 million.

At the end of last month they announced tickets on sale until February 25. Now tickets have been extended two weeks to March 11. Maybe that is the latest it can go before something else fits into the theater in time for nominations?
