For which plays and musicals do you hate yourself for missing, because they closed too early and you kept pushing it aside?

Next to Normal -- saw it on tour, but could kick myself for missing it at the Booth
Urinetown
Chorus Line OBC -- saw the 1st tour and also saw the last revival, but getting the chance to see the OBC would have been great

All of the great shows that were on Broadway in the 2004-2008 era. All I wanted to do was see Phantom, Rent, Les Miz, Spring Awakening, and Avenue Q over and over and over (and over) again and that's just what I did. I missed shows like Caroline, or Change, Light in the Piazza, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, original Color Purple, Drowsy Chaperone, Grey Gardens, etc.

An American in Paris, Pippin with Andrea Martin, last year's She Loves Me, and Sondheim on Sondheim are ones that come to mind. Luckily, I'm usually able to catch what I want to see...

I was not a regular theatergoer at the time, but I so wish I had seen Christine Ebersole in Grey Gardens.

Shuffle Along - I had tickets for 27 September, but of course it closed before then and I couldn't really move my international trip.
Fun Home - it closed just before my trip. I'm sure it'll come to Australia at some point, but I doubt it'll be in the round.
The original Australian production of We Will Rock You - I was only 12 when it was in Melbourne and we couldn't afford tickets to shows then anyway, but looking back the casting was amazing. There is a revival on now that closes in a couple of weeks, but I still haven't seen it because I'm so put off by the stupid stunt casting!

I wish I had been able to see Doctor Zhivago, but I had tickets for 3 days after it closed and we didn't arrive in NY until the day after it closed and we couldn't really change our international flights. The same thing happened with American Psycho but at least I got to see that in London. Also missed Tuck and Disaster and it seemed likeeverything was closing just before I arrived in NY as everything I had planned to see was closed when I arrived ![]()

Will always hate myself for missing The Normal Heart.
Also mad I missed this past Spring Awakening revival.

Chess - I had tickets for the week after it closed. The Normal Heart Broadway production - it just wasn't on my radar. And if I could go back in time and catch any performance, it would be Judy Garland at Carnegie Hall.
