Any thoughts on that? Most reviews seem to be good and almost everyone loves Sutton Foster.
Since it is a limited run and there are more recordings of this score than you can shake a stick at, my guess would be no.

I hope so. I think Sutton's marketability would be a pro for them to record one in addition to the positive reviews. I think they might wait to see what sort of nominations they get though.
What was the last production of Roundabout's that has had a cast recording? The Pajama Game?
110 in the Shade?

And that one was only available packaged with "Thou Shalt Not" if I recall correctly.
But I have to wonder if Sutton is more marketable to the people who buy cast recordings than Harry Connick, Jr. I think she is.
technically Sondheim on Sondheim/Everyday Rapture were Roundabout and got cast recordings, but based on revivals I think the last one to get one was indeed 110 in the Shade...not sure if Sutton is considered as marketable as Audra just because of Audra's own CD fanbase and her TV appearances (though I don't know offhand if Private Practice was a thing when 110 came out so maybe that's irrelevant...)
I don't know if you can count Everyday Rapture because of Sherie's connection to the company . That one was being made no matter what.
And I forgot about Sondheim on Sondheim. 110 & Private Practice were both 2007 but 110 closed in June and Private Practice started in September.
ANYTHING GOES isn't a limited run. As of now it's open ended, selling tickets through July 31st.
I hope so - if nothing else, I'd like a recording of Sutton's Blow, Gabriel, Blow - which in my honest opinion is FAR superior to Patti's.

What did you say??????
LuPonista's unite! Off with his head!
Does the new ticket availability further increase the chances of an Anything Goes cast recording?

I bet it happens.
Well, now that the show's now been extended through next year, it's looking more and more like we'll be getting a cast recording.
This would be a good contemporary cast recording to release as a digital-only release or cd-on-demand and see how it does.
I'm a patti fan. I loved her in Gypsy but I don't think
her Blow Gabriel Blow blew me away.
I thought Patti's "Blow, Gabriel, Blow" was amazing. I'll be seeing Sutton's version in less than 2 weeks. I psyched!
