"Time for the vultures to make their appearance."
Why would you refer to yourself that way? You shouldn't be so hard on yourself Roxy. I can think of a lot of things I'd call you but vulture probably would be too harsh.

It's not like it won't happen if the boards don't talk about it.

I suspect It Shoulda Been You, Living on Love, Doctor Zhivago, and Gigi are possible suspects to post notices tomorrow. Only time will tell!

If anyone's posting a closing notice this week it is definitely Living On Love

Living On Love won't post a notice this week, I don't think. They did some stuff over the past week, including today, that are more long-run attempts to boost box office numbers. They're attempting to get some traction with word-of-mouth. I think they'll wait that out a week at least to see if it goes anywhere. They wouldn't be offering tickets for essentially free (and in some cases, actually free) if they were seriously considering a close tomorrow, in my opinion. And they know they're not getting any Tony nominations, if we're going to be perfectly honest.
Dr. Zhivago is a goner by the end of the week if it doesn't get any nominations.

Living On Love and Zhivago are goners. I think Gigi and It Shoulda Been You will hang on to try and squeeze a few bucks out of the tourists.

"only one of those will post tomorrow."
how do you know unless you went around and asked the producers of each of those shows? Anyway, I don't think its Gigi or It Shoulda Been You. My guess is Doctor Zhivago. Living on Love isn't making that much money because the average ticket price is $26. I don't understand this. Why aren't they charging more? Its probably really not that expensive to run the show also, which is why if there is a show posting notice tomorrow, my guess is Doctor Zhivago.

IF LOL raises their prices at all, they will not make any money.

I feel like the few people who are seeing this show are seeing it because of Renee. Since that is the case, they would definitely be willing to spend more than $26. The prices for this show have always been really low. Almost the same amount of people saw It Shoulda Been You, but they are making more money because the average price for that show is $75.

Zhivago will run as long as It wants. The producers are super duper rich.

"Zhivago will run as long as It wants. The producers are super duper rich."
exactly. and maybe they only want to run the show for one more week or 2.

It has nothing to do with the ticket prices being too low. The average is so low because there are so many comps calculated at ZERO DOLLARS that it brings down the average of actually purchased tickets. This math isn't going to be perfect, but for every ticket sold at face value of $137 there are four tickets more being given out for free to create a rough average of $27. (This doesn't take into account tickets sold via TKTS, with discount codes, or other discounting, which also reduces the average ticket price.)

why are they giving so many comps then?

Because nobody is buying tickets for actual money, so to have people in the house they have to give out free tickets. The last thing you want during press performances is empty houses. The show is still papering heavily for the coming week.
