Hah! Microwaves are a bit heavy for me... But I learned by lesson some years back after throwing a remote control at the TV when Brokeback Mountain lost the Oscar best picture to Crash. Luckily, the remote took the most damage and the TV escaped relatively unscathed. But it was still aggravating enough to replace the remote for me to never try it again.

I'm incredibly biased about Book of Mormon, and I hope it wins big tonight. If it gets Best Musical, Book, AND Score, I would laugh. I hope Scottsboro wins Score for sentiment's sake. But who knows what those silly voters might do. I'm also rooting for Rory O'Malley.

I've read that statement about 5 times and am still stunned. While offensive can be fun (and it is in Book of Mormon), I can't believe people actually "hate" a show because it isn't offensive enough. Are you serious?

other than Best Musical the races are so open that any number of meltdowns could occur.

And that of course is all the more entertaining!

For my part I'm pulling for Mormon to take everything, but I don't think it will. It's not going to be the sweep everyone in the press is saying it will be.

My favorite thing about that book (the copy I have is from the 1930's) is that it assumes that the reader has a staff. It's a hilarious read.

Patash, a couple people showed up after the first preview saying exactly that. Other than the God song, they thought it was way too safe and sanitized. I guess they thought it would be the Terrance and Phillip movie within the movie scene from South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut and it wasn't. So yes, some people think it's not offensive enough. They're called trolls.

Patti wins featured actress
Mormon loses musical
Sutton loses lead actress
Women on the Verge wins score
Sister Act wins book

Everything else would be fine...and by that I mean a Mormon sweep would just be peachy with me.

I will not be having any meltdowns....but Tony Sheldon better win Best Actor in a Musical!!! I saw him in Toronto and it was one of the best performances I have ever seen.....and The Book of Mormon better win a whole bunch of awards....I'm still singing the songs from that show in my head....it was the best thing on Broadway this year!!!!!!!!
