Posted: 12/28/07 at 8:27pmI was at that show, 4th row center. This was the second time I saw Wicked, the first on a National Tour and I << was >> confused that she didn't fly. I wanted to ask someone after the performance but I couldn't find anyone that looked they worked there .. so I googled Elphaba.didn't.fly on my iPhone and up came this thread! I missed the flying but it didn't take away from the rest of the show which was solid. I would never have thought of asking for my money back!

Actually, I'm pretty sure there was an audio of a show where the lift didn't go up (possibly Shoshana Bean, but I'm not 100% sure).
There's also one where Shoshana accidentally whacks her hat(which contains her body mic and mic pack) off when she's twirling around the broom. It's takes them a few seconds to transfer to her secondary emergency mic.
Although, youtube has probably taken down both video's. They're becoming increasingly strict about that.

actually that audio is Idina in London. She get REALLY ticked when the lift doest work...I mean..REALLY ticked, I was sitting close to front row and I could sorta see her run back to get on and she mouthed "sh$#!" and ran foward and just looked ticked.
And yea that audio of Shoshana hitting her hat off is funny. Suprisinly no Elphaba has dropped the broom yet. Eden did but it was after she thrusted it up for the black out so no one saw it.

Posted: 12/29/07 at 12:42amI heard a recording of Idina in London when the lift didn't work. As pissed as she might have gotten, she was on fire! I think they realize "****" now I really have to sell this song (not that they usually dont). Her singing that night was incredible. SO much power.
