"So true, Greek. Most people are more upset about the lousy cover art than they are about the lousy movie!"
I was just going to say. The artwork is pretty perfect for the film that was made. Should I have expected any better? If the film itself looked gritty and dark, perhaps I'd be surprised, but maybe I shouldn't be.

It's tacky and looks like the result of a 13-year-old's first venture into PaintShop Pro land. It also looks like half the actors weren't ready for the camera.
That said, I doubt the cover art will affect sales either way. I doubt Rent is the type of movie that many people would buy based on the cover.

But, people give the show more credit than it deserves about the movie making the source material light and so on. Come one people, the show is not as dark and gritty as some people think. In fact, I think the movie is darker in tone and in spirit due to the actual showing of drug use, withdrawl, and the physical signs of Angel dying of AIDS--which the the stage show does not show at all.

Yes. It does.
Not a fan of the colors, but I don't really care. I just want the movie. lol.
