The current issue of the New York Blade might be a good read for those who want a comprehensive, albeit unflattering, review of RENT. I urge you to have a look at it.

Art2.......I just saw RENT, and you are are so majorly UNINFORMED. The relationship between Angel and Tom was IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM toned down. There WERE kisses....perhaps one less than Maureen and JoAnne......and their song together (1000 sweet kisses) was so amazing. Next time, before you spout your crap....see the movie first.
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story...
