I'm sorry I had to make a thread for this, but I just had a vision of Rachel doing Evita and wouldn't that be splendid? She's probably a little old for it now, but I would see it. Or Dot/Marie in Sunday??!!? I love her so much. Can anyone else see her in these parts?
Definitely not an Eva.
Easily a Dot/Marie.

Yeah I was afraid of that
I think she would sing the **** out of the score though. Maybe a concert production?
Definitely not Eva. I think 10 years ago she would have made a good Dot/Marie.
I seem to recall reading that she actually played Evita a while back - perhaps in a production performed in Spanish?

Yes, she did. See link:

I don't know if she has the right voice for it, but I could see her as an exquisite Margaret in The Light in the Piazza.
I think she may have aged out of Evita, and I can't really see her in that role anyway.
How was she as Laura Bush two years ago?
I NEED to see her as Diana in Next to Normal.
Helena Rubinstein ![]()
Diana in Nect to Normal
the Witch in Into the Woods
Grizabella in Cats
Lizzie in 110 in the Shade
She has the warmth to be a good Desiree in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. I wonder if she could pull off the glamour.
Diana in NEXT TO NORMAL. She would be phenomenal.
Is she too old for Glinda? Her comedy would be perfect.
Diana in N2N
Helen in Fun Home
She's probably too old but one of the Hilton sisters in SideShow
Gypsy Rose Lee in Gypsy
Little Edie in Grey Gardens
When she's a bit older I would LOVE to see her as Golde in Fiddler

Omg she HAS to be in a revival of Grey Gardens. Good to know about Evita!
I'm all for having an open mind about the actual age of actors and the age of the roles of the parts they are playing. That said, Rachel and Chenoweth are almost the same age. That means....well, she's old enough to play Golde.
I'd love to see her Lovett. Maybe if Sweeney Off Broadway becomes an open run (which I hope it does) she can step in.
Loving her as Big/Little Edie. I get nervous about that voice tho...

She was easily my favorite part of First Daughter's Suite. The recording with her and Mary Testa singing "Laura / No Tears" is one of my favorite things of 2015... god I'm obsessed.
I'd like to see her in some plays. Her singing is great, but I think what really makes her shine is her acting.
She’s a marvelous comedic actress. I’d love to see her in Bells are Ringing.
