Posted: 3/19/06 at 1:48pmI believe it's at Cipriani's. I forget where I saw it though.

Posted: 3/19/06 at 1:56pmit's at cipriani's on 42nd...it says on the invitation. Like my post said...is anyone FOR SURE going who's over 21 and willing to "accompany" me? it's on my 20 birthday and apparently there might be issues with alcohol and liability...I've contacted the person in charge. I swear I won't drink anything!

ok. on the paper that has the cast picture...open it up and on the bottom in red it says MONDAY APRIL 24, 2006...at the nederlander theater.
Look on that same red section, below APRIL 24 it says "followed by a party at cipriani 42nd street 110 E. 42nd street"
So you're just doing the raffel and not paying $2000 for you and your mom?

Posted: 3/19/06 at 4:30pmno i sent them a message about how rent wanted to reach out to a younger audeince and it has but if the younger audience is willing to but can't afford more than one of these tickets ur going against part of the point of rent in bringing it to a younger audience, and making it easily accessible to those with less money. I doubt that'll help i mean im all ready 2 just go 2 the show and not the party and im hoping they'd let me do that

Posted: 3/19/06 at 4:45pmNo, they're going to put you in a cage after the concert and not let you out until you're inside the party.

Posted: 3/19/06 at 4:50pmMoo_With_Me, this is a benefit performance. They're trying to reach out to people with money.

I was just wondering how this whole thing came up - when I called to inquire about ticket details, nobody ever asked me if I was under 21. I'm 25, that's a moot point, maybe they could just tell or something, but it looks like there'd be some sort of disclaimer.
#38re: Rent Benefit Invitations
Posted: 3/19/06 at 4:57pmThere's obviously no age requirement.
#39re: Rent Benefit Invitations
Posted: 3/19/06 at 6:11pmMy invite came yesterday. Unfortunately there is no way I can afford to pay $1,000 and to do the lottery I'd have to leave work early to get into the city. Oh well.

Posted: 3/21/06 at 12:54amIn case anyone wants to know, the event marketing coordinator listed on the invitation says the exact format of the show hasn't been worked out yet, but it will be a concert performance-- not the whole play. No full set, no choreograhy, and only a "selection" of songs. The director hasn't decided on the details yet, like wich songs that will be.

Posted: 3/21/06 at 1:40amis the event black tie? I kinda thought the invites would be more formal. no idea why.

No, it's "come as you are."
I thought it'd be more formal, too.

Posted: 3/21/06 at 12:56pmYEAH....just got e-mail confirmation that I have tickets to the Benefit. I can't wait to go, since I didn't get to see the original cast I think it will be amazing to see them all together again. Even if they aren't doing the whole show, they are such wonderful actors/singers that it will be good no matter what they do.

Posted: 3/21/06 at 1:48pmI'm still waiting for an email confirmation - but my credit card has indeed been charged - that didn't take long...

Posted: 3/21/06 at 2:36pmLook for an e-mail with the subject line RENT 10 on it. Depending on what e-mail system you use, I would check your Bulk or Junk e-mail folders just to make sure it didn't go there. I know that my RSVP got there about 10am this morning and I had my confirmation e-mail at 11:30am.
