Wow! This sounds incredibly intriguing. I have to see this.

It's about time Clive Owen did some theatre in New York!
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

I had never been bored by reading a Michael Riedel column until now. He needs to cut it on the book-long quotes. Even non-gossip theatre columnists can write a more entertaining piece than that.

Not to mention that it's not much of a secret, as Playbill.com has a release about it on their website.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Playbill.com's first sentence says, "The New York Post reports..." so they picked it up from Riedel.

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

I'm stoked about Lee, Clive Owen, and even Whalberg, but I think they could've chosen a better play to revive. Stalag 17 isn't all that memorable in my opinion.

Well now I guess it is official with Lee's comments made. Don't kill me, but it just bugs me that he was to make the announcement tomorrow and being the impatient society we are, someone had to divulge the info before he could make the formal announcement tomorrow as he had planned.

Foster is SUCH a douche.

This excites me. You all know how much I adore Clive Owen.

Though Riedel incorrectly claims that Lee is an Oscar winner. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

Clive Owen. Saw him in London in CLOSER doing the other role than the one he did in the movie.

He's great. But it kinda sounds like they're casting a movie.

Mark Wahlberg?
If they could do it as good as me - they'd be up here.

...and another error...

Ridel wrote that the film won 4 Oscars.

It was only nominatted for 3, and won only 1.

Not sure how good Wahlberg will be on stage, he doesn't seem like much of a theatrical actor, but who knows. This is making this next season more exciting.
